An artist who investigates issues relating to human desires and sexuality, he graduated in Visual Programming from the Minas Gerais State University in 1998. He took a university extension course in Memory and Cinema at the Federal University of Minas Gerais, from April to November 1999. He also studied Fine Arts at the Guignard School of Minas Gerais State University between 1988 and 1992. He studied animation at the Washington Animations Productions, in the United States. He curated and produced the Arte Animada animated video festival at Cine Humberto Mauro, Palácio das Artes, Belo Horizonte, where he also organized the show A Sexualidade Humana no Cinema, Festival Mix Brasil 99. He worked on television, journalism and advertising. His filmography includes Jezebel, A mulher cruel, from 2000; Eros e Psiquê, inspired in a poem by Fernando Pessoa; Abel – O Pecado Nosso de Cada Dia, about the seven capital sins; Boogie Days; Eros, about the relationship between the god of love and the myth of Narcissus; and A Rainha Amargou, a humorous fantasy story about a queen of Brazilian slums and her lesbian slaves.
