An actor and visual artist, he holds a baccalaureate degree in Visual Arts from Centro Universitário Belas Artes in São Paulo, 2007, with a major in Photography from Escola Panamericana de Arte e Design, 2010. He works predominantly with performance, using drawings as a base language to research and develop his pieces, and photography to explore the urban space and his own body. In his work, he explores physical boundaries and self-aggression as poetic possibilities in long duration performances, questioning the body as an artistic medium. His art has been featured in several festivals and organizations, such as Verbo, Galeria Vermelho, São Paulo (2013); Paço das Artes, São Paulo (2013); Brazilian Museum of Sculpture, São Paulo (2011); Arte Pará, Belém, Brazil (2008); and others. He undertook residencies at Fundação Joaquim Nabuco, Recife (2014) and at the Red Bull House of Art, São Paulo (2011). Felipe Bittencourt lives and works in São Paulo.
