Fine artist and writer. In 1982 he completed his degree in Philosophy at the University of São Paulo (USP) and in 1983 he launched his career as a fine artist. He has since been featured in major art shows in Brazil and abroad, including the XVIII, XX and XXII São Paulo Art Biennials (1985, 1989 and 1994); Latin American Artists of XXth Century, MoMA-NY, Beaubourg (1993); XLVI Biennale di Venezia (1995); Ultrabaroque, San Diego (2000); Nuno Ramos, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo (2000); Nuno Ramos – Morte das Casas, São Paulo (2004); Frank Stella and Nuno Ramos, São Paulo (2004). As a writer, Ramos has published Cujo (1993) and O Pão do Corvo (2001). Since 2001 he has made experimental short films such as Luz Negra, with Eduardo Climachauska (2001); Duas horas, with Eduardo Climachauska (2003); Alvorada (2004) and Casco, with Eduardo Climachauska and Gustavo Moura (2004). Nuno Ramos lives and works in São Paulo.
