Sherman Ong is a filmmaker, photographer, and visual artist. His practice is centered on the human condition, relationships, cultural diversity, and urban alienation. He has shown works at the Venice, Singapore, and Jakarta biennials; Mori Art Museum, Tokyo; Martin-Gropius-Bau, Berlin; Centre Pompidou, Paris; and the Contemporary Art Festival Sesc_Videobrasil, São Paulo. His works are in the collections of institutions such as Fukuoka Asian Art Museum, Singapore Art Museum, and Seoul Arts Center.
