Statement 2019
Transcription of the statement for the 21st Biennial
My relation with technology began when I started analyzing it as an agent that exposes the shifts in human assessment of itself and reality. I believe that contemporary technologies offer certain possibilities for decentralized and non-prescriptive approaches for artists. I am interested in testing their potential.
With a hybrid and experimental practice, one of the strategies I employ is to link and integrate complex and seemingly disparate ideas into coherent and poignant narratives by using a diverse system of information and knowledge in the same narrative structure, as with this juxtaposition of codes and computer language.
In the place between artificial intelligence and its virtual interface and human life, I aim to challenge western knowledge systems by disrupting its distinctions and hierarchies of existence and matter.
