The work began with a performance at the 29th Bienal de São Paulo at which a pianist played five pieces of music by Frédéric Chopin while two men melted a large amount of wax over his grand piano. As the wax cooled and dried, the pianist found it harder and harder to play the music. Like other works by Blass, this video discusses ephemerality, evanescence and the limits of artistic language.
