The work, whose subtitle is pra não dizer que não sou ordinário, comprises excerpts of video captured in the urban context in a set where the noises of the city are interspersed with piano music. Urban situations, deadlocks, shortcuts, dead end streets, and the interest for what’s ordinary form the work. Through scenes we see in cities on a daily basis, the paradoxes and aporias of urban life that remain suffocated and invisible are addressed through the image editing in the video. Desvios, derivas, contornos makes evident the difficulties regarding relations and coexistence that the city imposes to us; it also proposes us to engage in an exercise aiming at making sense of things based on what is unspeakable in our social coexistence and to think about possible answers to troubled social situations.
