The artist discusses her piece The Sun Glows over the Mountains, made following an invite to take part in a show covering the different currents of Zionism. In her statement, she speaks on the idea of using her own family history as her subject matter, and her fear upon resorting to such a personal experience. The granddaughter to a prominent politician who has taken part in the foundation of the State of Israel, she presents in her video the views of four generations of Israelis about their country. From her great-grandfather to her grandfather – who dedicated his entire life to the Zionist cause – to her parents, and finally herself, as the dream entertained by past generations deteriorates. She also speaks on the two main strains running through her work: one which she calls political-poetical, commited to the Israeli reality, and another more experimental one.
