The artist featured in the Southern Panoramas show discusses her piece El Contorno. She gives her views on identity issues – that are present in her video –, which she regards as temporary configurations of fleeting relationships, revealing the multiple identities that can coexist in one single individual. On the other hand, she questions the notion of collective as something which opposes the presumed unity of identity, seeing that the boundaries between the two are in constant motion. She also discusses the strategy of using space as a form of narrative, building the plot in a more spatial than temporal way. She reveals how, in each work, she orchestrates different references (like cinema and dancing) and internal elements, which are centered through video.
