A participant in the Festival since 2001, the Argentinean artist reflects on the art-politics relationship. Golder regards this connection as a positioning of the artist’s in the face of images. Thus, each of the artist’s gestures constructs a statement that reveals their thinking. She interprets her Conversation Piece – featured in the 18th Festival – as an inversion of the namesake pictorial genre, which often represents domestic situations from bourgeoise living. She also touches on the role of memory in her work, represented by childhood, an element that opens up other layers of comprehension of reality. Finally, she reminisces on her Videobrasil years, and reveals the organization’s importance to her formation.
