While preparing to shoot the Videobrasil Authors Collection documentary Coco Fusco: I Like Girls in Uniform, director Wagner Morales interviews the Cuban artist. Here, we see an excerpt from the material which was left out from the final cut. She touches on some of her art projects that address armed forces-related issues. Prisoner abuse at United States military bases, like Abu Ghraib, took the artist by surprise, especially the fact that women were present during interrogations and used their sexuality to force the accused into confessing. This was the subject of the performance Bare Life Study #1, commissioned by Associação Cultural Videobrasil and presented during the 15th Festival, in 2005.
