Aline X and Gustavo Jardim, winners of the Res Artis residency, talk about how, while seeking to make an experimental documentary, the video Tocaia came to be. It was filmed at the city of Ataleia, in the countryside of Minas Gerais, after an unexpected encounter with a herd of oxen. They also talk about how, along with the soundtrack, written by the group O Grivo, they meant to bring something from fantastic realism by suspending the barrier between documental and fictional.
