The Malian artist talks about his second participation in the Festival, in which he showed the video Danse des Masques en Pays Dogon. He describes the ritual recorded on video, in the region of Dogon in Mali: A masked procession that happens during the funeral of a patriarch of the community. He also speaks about the importance of creating an archive of these cultural manifestations. Finally, he reflects on the impact that the reception of a document such as this can have in a country like Brazil, where, he said, many may come to recognize themselves in the piece's images, knowing a culture that also belongs to them.
