The architect Paulo Tavares talks about the ruins in the Brazilian forest and cerrado researched by archaeologists since the 1980s. These findings call into question preconceived ideas of city, civilization and urbanism, used to legitimize the domination of the European powers in certain regions of South America, since they reveal the existence of Amerindian poleis destroyed by the colonial invasion.
