The artist presents and comments on her work Topos_somedrama, which took part in the exhibition Southern Panoramas | Selected Artists as part of the 19th Festival. The piece comments on the form and function of monuments as symbols of modernity. To this end, it explores an iconic 20th century image: the Monument to the Third International, also known as Tatlin’s Tower. Combining reminiscences from European culture and exploring an attempt to achieve an architecture of transcendence, the artist registers the tension between superficial and organic, and the struggle against the passage of time.
