Affective bonds and the notions of exchange and community surround the work of Agnes Waruguru. Composed of fabrics dyed with natural pigmentation and fishing nets, the Kenyan artist's installation for the 22nd Biennial Sesc_Videobrasil was developed during a residency at the Kaaysá Art Residency in Boiçucanga (Brazil).
The work establishes links between Kenya and Brazil, using local materials and materials that recall the artist's childhood.
