Outside of its exhibition venues, the Festival proposes, in Reflections in Displacement, meetings that expand on issues relating to the 30 years and Southern Panoramas shows and converse with the art and culture venues that host them: Pivô and Casa do Povo.

Zero estrangement: video between film and visual art
December 18, 8 p.m. — PIVÔ

Video emerged in the 1960s, as part of the first generation of new media art. Its chameleon-like nature allows it to glide through the visual arts, revitalizing languages and discourses. In the 2000s, departing from the idea of an exclusive field for video, Videobrasil dilates its territories, crossbreeding it with performance and film. The debate focuses on the fields of action of the Pivô venue, focusing on the transversality of art practices.
