A filmmaker, she graduated in Social Communication from Hélio Alonso College in 1979. In 1983 and 1984 she studied at the Global Village, the New School/NY (Advanced Intensive Video), the Downtown Community Television Center/NY (Editing), the Young Filmmakers, Video Arts/NY (Lighting for Film and Video) and the New School TV Academy /NY (Videotape Post-Production). She directed the fiction feature films Como Esquecer, in 2010, based on the novel Como Esquecer - Anotações Quase Inglesas, by Myriam Campello; and Mulheres do Brasil, from 2006, inspired by five stories by Brazilian writers, set in five cities in different regions of Brazil. In 2012 she directed the documentary Margaret Mee e a Flor da Lua, her latest film.
