His work interweaves memories of his homeland, traditional materials such as straw and wood, and references to Dogon traditions. Drawing on different techniques and supports—video, installation, painting, and sculpture—Seydou visually reinvents the animism of his country’s ancestral culture. He has exhibited at the 28th Short Film Festival Berlin (2012), Palais de Tokyo, Paris (2013), and Festival International du Film sur l’Art, Montreal (2015). He lives in Roubaix.
