Presented for the first time at the 13th Festival, in 2001, the performance Cover Man is commented on by the artist himself. Alexandre da Cunha explains how he created the piece, building on the problematics of the body and how people communicate through it. The piece incorporates technology into the visual arts’ own universe by combining high- and low-technology into one single work. Apart from the piece, Cunha problematizes the Brazilian art scene, noting that the language of performance has not been made truly legitimate in the country yet. As a Brazilian artist living in England for several years,  Cunha does not feel that he is forced to represent a Brazilian identity in his work; he would rather think of his practice as being universal.
