The artist discusses his two artworks featured in the 18th Festival. According to him, both pieces are based on the concept of the box as a unit of space in human scale. Considering this idea, his first piece introduces the forest scenery both as a metaphor for what we keep hidden within ourselves and as an environment that is an example of the gigantism that haunts us. The second piece relates the box to the space of theater, a place of invention and creation, and the place of the artist’s affective memories. He also speaks on the Festival’s trajectory, punctuating some of its most important aspects, such as its longevity and the opportunity it provides for artists from different generations to interact.
