"The Desert in my mind" is a 90 m2 installation especially built for the 9o Videobrasil. Scenes from the Death Valley, USA, are generated by video-disc (eight channels sincronized by computer) and projected in an environment evoking the desert with its extreme climate conditions: 48o C at around 3 pm! 4o C at down! The soundtrack is by Stephen Vittielo, and the original music by Paulo Santos, from the UAKTI group. The lighting was designed by Evandro Rogers. "I also work towards that desert inside every human being - the desert of mirages and images we see in our dreams", confirms the author.
