The installation was created for an art show in Dachau, a small town close to Munich where there was a concentration camp bult by the nazis. Millions of people, mainly Jews, were killed in gas chambers or in avens bult for this purpose. "This object sprang up from my memories of Dachau and sprang up form my memories of Dachau an dfrom my first visit there with an artist friend from New York, who is Jewish".
