The serious artist is the only person capable of confronting technology with impunity, simply because he is a master of changes in perception*

Impulsos Elerônicos presents a challenge of a technology only dreamt of in recent years, which already changed perception of both the most young, and the well-established artists working in different fields. Impulsos Eletrônicos is a show of static images rather than frozen fragments of animated sequences.

Rosely Nakagawa, architect, museum specialist, curator of photografs and exhibitions including this one, has invited 19 artists, wheter or not previouly familiar with computer graphics, to create work with the use of Fotóptica Computer Graphics and Vision Division: workstation PC with Targa and Topas, Rio, Sable and Tips software; a Machintosh with Photoshop, Illustrator and Free Hand.

Then, each digitalised image was reproduced direct into colour negative slide and enlarged in Duratrans, mounted with backlight.
