Morales is an artist, filmmaker and curator. His works include video, documentary and installation that form an artistic career that is both very diverse and marked by tension and approximation between experimental video and documentary. His pieces, which are often organized in series, research on the universe of social relationships in urban environments, addressing the clichés offered by the cultural industry – especially cinema and television. He graduated in Anthropology from the University of São Paulo (USP), in 1992, and finished a graduate course in Multimedia at the State University of Campinas (Unicamp), in 1997. In addition to participating in a large number of collective shows, he held solo shows at the Cable Factory, Helsinki, Finland; at the Palais de Tokyo, Paris, France; and at Galeria Anita Schwartz, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, among others. Since 2006, he has also been working as an independent curator. He lives and works in Paris.
