The work is part of a series of videos with almost no cuts, which the artist describes as portraits of everyday acts. Standing on a stairway, with a camera hanging from his neck, the protagonist watches dozens of people as they pass. Nobody looks at him and he doesn’t photograph anybody. In explaining his critical stance—what is important to one is irrelevant to another, and vice versa; so everything is important and irrelevant at the same time—the artist speaks of solitude and indifference.
