In the past and present, racism has depended on cultural systems to justify itself. Art has often been used as a tool to promote white supremacy. The artists Maksaens Denis (Haiti), Seba Calfuqueo (Chile) and Vitória Cribb (Brazil), whose practice has the body as its center, discuss how the image helps to sustain prejudices and corroborates imaginaries of fear and desire. The panel is mediated by Ying Kwok (Hong Kong).

The conversation was part of the Public Programs of the 22nd Bienal Sesc_Videobrasil.
