The world in motion, short on distances, fast on the internet, but much less democratic than was previously assumed. With controlled borders, exacerbated nationalisms and a greater number of immigrants. In face of this, the 14th festival took the displacements as its theme and sought to “displace itself” around the globe to rethink the world and use movement as a driver of transformation. For the first time, the festival focused on artists from the Geopolitical South, with special attention on the Middle East. The bilingual catalog features content about the works and artists participating in this edition, with texts from the curators and the Selection and Programming Committee—formed by André Brasil, Christine Mello and Solange Farkas.
