Using archives and collections, Mabe Bethônico approaches fields such as geography, geology, history and ethnography, revealing how information can be built and reworked continuously. The first book about the artist, the volume brings together three unpublished essays, written by Anselm Jappe, Joerg Bader and Gabriel Ferreira Zacarias, texts by curators and critics, such as Ana Paula Cohen, Adriano Pedrosa, Rodrigo Moura and Maria Lind, archive documents and diagrams that structure the artist’s works. The edition had the support from the Centre de la Photographie Genève, the School of Fine Arts of the Federal University of Minas Gerais and Galeria Marilia Razuk, and was funded by the Municipal Cultural Foundation of Belo Horizonte.
