The Magazine has borrowed its title from a famed 1925 literary publication by Belo Horizonte’s modernist artists group. Edited by Rodrigo Moura and designed by the artist Marilá Dardot, this issue is made of pages taken from out-of-print art, culture and literature magazines published in Brazil from the 1920s to the 1990s.

The Magazine sets out to make connections between artwork, texts, and printed media, using magazines and their pages as art spaces, in projects originally created for Brazilian art periodicals, and interventions created or donated by nine collaborators: Ana Martins Marques, Arnaldo Antunes, Cildo Meireles, Claudia Andujar, Eduardo Costa, Erika Verzutti, Fabio Morais, Jorge Macchi, and Rivane Neuenschwander.
