IN RESIDENCE is a virtual space for recording, exchanging and sharing the experiences of artists granted residencies by Associação Cultural Videobrasil by means of the Festival Residency Prize, linked to the Contemporary Art Festival Sesc_Videobrasil, and Videobrasil in Context. Created in blog format, the space is built in a horizontal and collaborative way, from the contents posted by the artists and by Videobrasil Residency Program's partner institutions.
IN RESIDENCE is designed to record these artists’ experiences in displacement, sharing their discoveries, experimentation, research and reflections in another country, in contact with diverse cultures. Thus, it also operates as a tool for broadening public access to these artists’ creative processes, spreading knowledge on the methods and activities of the residency programs offered by the host institutions. Started in 2014, the blog ushers in a new experience in Videobrasil’s artist residency follow-up process.
