Held at a time of particular effervescence in the country, which was undergoing a transition from a long military dictatorship to a democratic regime, the event supported independent production companies, creators of an innovative language that were beginning to win over an audience and articulate an approximation with TV. Video art was gaining ground internationally, with works that explored the technical possibilities of the medium, and also with greater reflection on the creation of its own unique language. The catalog features synopses of the works shown, information about the video programming, debate panels, awards and parallel events.
